Mission & Vision

Our mission is to provide exceptional medical care for the pets of the Indian Head area in a friendly, welcoming, home-town environment, and to provide options for advanced surgical care for the pets of rural Saskatchewan.

We strive to ensure physical, mental, and emotional well-being for the pets in our care, their caregivers, and the entire veterinary team.

Meet our doctors

Dr Bonnie McNary from Indian Head Animal Clinic SK

Dr. Bonnie McNary

Dr. Bonnie McNary was raised on a mixed beef and sheep farm north of Wapella Saskatchewan. After taking the Animal Health Technology program through Lakeland College, she worked as a Veterinary Technician for the next 2 years. At that point Bonnie had found a love for the veterinary industry and decided to complete her veterinary degree.

After graduating from the Western Collee of Veterinary Medicine Saskatoon in 2019 she went to work in veterinary emergency medicine. In January 2021 Bonnie joined the IHAC team as the new practice owner.

She feels privileged to provide medical care to pets. Pets who ask so little of us, and provide us with so much.

Bonnie likes to spend her spare time with her family, fishing, canoeing, or gardening.

Dr Karen Wagner from Indian Head Animal Clinic SK

Dr. Karen Wagner

Dr. Karen Wagner grew up in the small town of Pinawa, Manitoba.  She knew she would be a veterinarian when she was six years old and then forgot all about it until she was in grade twelve and decided she needed a profession that engaged her mind and body.

She did her pre-veterinary studies through the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Manitoba and then packed up again to attend the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon.  Upon graduating she started her veterinary career in a mixed practice in Balgonie, met a man who could dance, married the man, and raised two daughters.  Once the daughters arrived, she gradually took on small animal practice exclusively.

Her first reason for choosing veterinary medicine still holds: animals cannot speak for themselves but make us better human beings for knowing them.  They deserve our attention and care.

In her spare time, Karen enjoys her family, her pets, being active with a martial art, tending perennials and trees, and just generally trying to make her own corner of the world more beautiful.  She and Mike still dance.
