Meet the Team

Dr. Bonnie McNary
Bonnie McNary

Veterinarian and Clinic Owner
Been here since 2021

Prior to Veterinary school, Bonnie attended Lakeland College for their Animal Health Technology program and received her Registered Veterinary Technician title in 2012. She worked as a tech for 2 years before going back to veterinary school at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in 2019. In 2021, Bonnie and her husband Donald purchased the Indian Head Animal Clinic! Bonnie’s passions in vet med include soft tissue surgery and dentistry. Bonnie also has two fabulous “recipients of care” in her life; one is a small young human named, Emiline, and the other is a 6-year-old fluffy orange kitty named Ginny!

The most inspiring part of her job is being able to create a variety of treatment plans that fit both the needs of the patient and the needs of the caregiver/client.

If she could invent a holiday, it would involve bouncy castles, a 24-hour fast, intense physical labour such as spring yard work without appropriate tools and equipment, then a massive feast at the end!

Donald Struck
Donald Struck

Owner
Been here since 2021

Donald is the silent and unseen part of what makes the IHAC function. He is the repair man, the tech guy, the errand runner, and the finance manager. Most importantly, he is a great Dad to his daughter Emiline during the day, while Dr. Bonnie McNary is hard at work helping pets in need.

Jodi Boyd
Jodi Boyd

Registered Veterinary Technician
Been here since 2021

Jodi grew up in Moosomin, SK. She lived in High River, AB, for several years before finally coming to Edenwold, SK, to settle down on her farm. Jodi enjoys having birds and other little animals around!

Jodi is a mother of 3 beautiful children. She has been a veterinary technician for 9 years in practice, but had taken years off to be a stay-at-home mom prior to coming back!

The advice she would give a candidate who wants to join our team would be to smile and be willing to learn! If she weren’t so darn good at her job, she’d probably be a phlebotomist.

Paige Ruecker
Paige Ruecker

Registered Veterinary Technician
Been here for 7 months

Paige grew up in Abernethy, SK, on her mixed-family farm. She attended the Animal Health Technology program at Lakeland College, and graduated in 2022! After 3 years of living in Vermilion, AB, she is back home on the family farm! She is working on becoming certified as a horse massage therapist. Paige loves all animals and is slowly growing a farm of her own!

When she was 5, I was pretty sure I’d be an astronaut! Though our clinic is “out-of-this-world” awesome, she still has not made it to Mars.

The most inspiring part of her job is being able to hold, love, and help every patient who comes in the door to the best of her ability.

Tabitha Mainil
Tabitha Mainil

Registered Veterinary Technician
Been here since 2022

Tabitha attended the Animal Health Technology program at Lakeland College and graduated in 2016. She’s performed a few different jobs with her vet tech title, such as working at Prairie Diagnostic Services (PDS) in the veterinary necropsy lab and at the emergency department at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. She also went farming with 400 sheep and 1,000 cattle. Then, she went back to the University of Saskatchewan to achieve her Bachelor of Animal Science degree. Now she occasionally runs dog training classes and will be starting training classes near Indian Head soon! Most long weekends you can find her, her husband, and their 3 dogs at agility trials!

The best piece of advice she’s ever been given is that you don’t have to have a plan. Just take opportunities as they come!

If she could invent a holiday, it would involve a fun 5km run with obstacles that you run with your dog!

Gracie
Gracie Lingelbach

Veterinary Medical Assistant
Been here since 2023

Gracie grew up in Abernethy, SK. She attended the Veterinary Medical Assistant program at Lakeland College and graduated in 2023. Gracie loves all animals, but she has a special soft spot for bottle babies. Gracie has adopted numerous bottle-fed babies of many breeds, but kept one of her favourite cow babies and now is slowly growing her own herd of 2!

The advice she would give a candidate who wants to join our team of superstars would be to be yourself and try your best!

If she weren’t so damn good at her job, she would probably be on a beach, retired and rich. But they need her here, so, she stays.

Lee Ortman
Laura Ortman

Manager
Been here since 2015

Laura wins the “shortest commute” award on this team. She has a handsome son, Benny, and a furbaby, Reggie. She grew up in Regina, SK until her adult life, then she moved to Fort San before finally settling in Indian Head. Laura enjoys fishing, gardening, and golfing!

Her favourite word in the English language is “spicy.”

If she were a superhero, her superpower would be taking all the pain away from painful patients.
