See what our employees have to say
I found the clinic to be very accommodating of the types of surgeries, procedures and appointments I was willing to see. The clinic ran very efficiently, with techs or assistants starting appointments, taking notes during examinations and counselling clients afterwards. I felt that my time as a veterinarian was used effectively, and that I was well supported. The EZVet computer system was user-friendly, and I was easily able to finish my files, phone calls and prescription refills by the end of my day.
I very quickly felt like I was part of the IHAC team, and I would have been happy to continue locuming at IHAC if it weren’t for the fact that we relocated to Saskatoon. Maybe now I’ll just have to come visit, I mean “work”, for consecutive days to make the slightly longer commute worthwhile!
In the summer before my fourth year, I had the privilege of spending time at IHAC, where I received invaluable mentorship and hands-on experience. During this time, I witnessed the commitment of the entire IHAC team to fostering a supportive, collaborative work environment. Although I was never an official employee at IHAC, Dr. McNary has continued to mentor me as I navigate my early years as a veterinarian. She has supported and encouraged my growth, reminding me of the importance of finding happiness and balance in this profession. The advice Dr. McNary has shared with me reflects the values and priorities of the entire team and practice.

Indian Head Animal Clinic | Indian Head, Saskatchewan
We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves taking care of people.
At Indian Head Animal Clinic, great veterinary care is about more than what happens in the exam room.
We want every person who walks through our doors to feel welcomed, heard, cared for, and confident that someone is looking out for them and their pet.
We’re looking for a Customer Care Team Member who sees hospitality as an important part of veterinary medicine. Someone who notices when a client needs help, takes ownership of finding an answer, and makes sure concerns don’t get lost in the shuffle.
You’ll be a voice for our clients and patients.
Our Customer Care Team is often the first person a client speaks to and the last person they see before they leave. That makes this role incredibly important.
We’re looking for someone who will:
- Welcome clients warmly and help them feel comfortable from the moment they arrive
- Listen carefully to what clients are asking for and make sure their needs are addressed promptly
- Advocate for clients when they need help navigating their pet’s care
- Speak up for patients when something needs attention
- Take ownership of questions and concerns rather than simply passing them along
- Follow through so clients aren’t left wondering what happened
- Communicate clearly and compassionately, even when someone is worried, frustrated, or having a difficult day
- Look for opportunities to make someone’s experience a little easier or better
What will you actually do?
Day to day, you’ll help keep the client side of our clinic running smoothly. This includes:
- Answering phones and responding to client inquiries
- Scheduling and coordinating appointments
- Greeting and checking in clients and patients
- Checking clients out after appointments
- Processing payments
- Helping clients understand next steps
- Following up on questions, requests, and concerns
- Communicating between clients and the veterinary team
- Completing administrative tasks and maintaining accurate information
- Noticing when something hasn’t been resolved and making sure it gets to the right person
Who would thrive here?
You don’t need years of veterinary experience. We can teach you our systems and how a veterinary clinic works.
We’re much more interested in finding someone who is naturally:
Hospitable. You enjoy making people feel welcome and cared for.
An advocate. If someone needs help, you want to make sure they get it.
Proactive. You notice what needs to happen and don’t always wait to be asked.
Reliable. If you say you’ll take care of something, people can trust that it will get done.
Warm and professional. You can be friendly and personable while still handling difficult conversations appropriately.
A strong communicator. You listen well, ask good questions, and make sure important information gets where it needs to go.
Team-oriented. You understand that excellent client service and excellent patient care require the whole clinic to work together.
Previous customer service experience is preferred. Experience in veterinary medicine is an asset, but it is not required.
What matters most to us
We don’t want clients to feel like a number, an appointment slot, or an interruption.
We want them to feel like someone is in their corner.
That means our Customer Care Team isn’t here simply to answer phones and book appointments. They are here to help create an exceptional experience for the people who trust us with their animals.
If you’re the kind of person who notices when someone needs help, cares about getting things right, and takes pride in making people feel genuinely looked after, we’d love to hear from you.
Please fill out the application below. The job opening runs until September 15th.
